Material: Coarse clay, imbued with a captivating blue tint, is handcrafted from a blend of high-grade white porcelain clay and kaolin clay, personally sourced from the Sancheong region of Gyeongsangnam-do. All material has been tested for lead and cadmium (none detected), ensuring both safety and unparalleled quality.

Care: Avoid sudden temperature changes. Handwashing recommended, although dishwasher safe.

Description

Joseon white porcelain is Korea’s aesthetic signature and now comes in the form of HAEINYO to fit the needs and sentiments of modern life. The natural crystalline paleness allows food to pop and be accentuated as it sits on any table. In addition, storage is simple and clean as the containers are stackable to your liking.

Artist Kim Sang-in strategically cuts flat sides into the dishes, a timeless technique derived from the traditional practices of the Joseon Dynasty. This method, initially utilized to diminish the weight of kaolin clay objects, breathes modernity into Gakmyeon(facet-shaped porcelain). The result is a contemporary yet stylistically everlasting dishware that remains relevant and sophisticated.
